Saudi Arabia to invest in Iran

That went fast. Who would have fought?

According to Reuters Saudi Arabia is ready to quickly start investing in Iran. This information is a bit surprising, as days not weeks or months have passed since the deal brokered by China between Saudi Arabia and Iran was signed. This tempo is lightning fast and it is sain to assume that jus a few people have foreseen it.

“"There are a lot of opportunities for Saudi investments in Iran. We don't see impediments as long as the terms of any agreement would be respected," al-Jadaan said during the Financial Sector Conference in Riyadh.”

Washington has some serious problems brewing in the Middle East and we can’t see any viable solutions to this reshuffle. The interesting fact is that Saudi Arabia is very dependent on US arms sales and this leverage could potentially be used to temper down the Kingdom. We shall see what the policy makers in Washington will pull out of the hat.
